Where the visitors come from
Who travels to us, and why
Fethiye, Ovacık and Hisarönü send us the largest number of English-speaking customers, mostly with prescriptions issued in the UK. The usual questions are whether a British prescription can be used here (it can) and what to do when the PD is missing from it (we measure it).
Dalyan and Sarıgerme are part of Ortaca district itself, a short drive from the shop. In season the most common request is an emergency replacement for glasses lost or broken on holiday.
Göcek, Marmaris and the marinas bring boat owners and crew. Polarised lenses matter far more here than most people expect: they remove the reflected glare from the water surface, which a plain dark tint cannot do.
Köyceğiz and Dalaman are our nearest neighbours, 20 and 11 kilometres away. Reading and progressive lenses are the most frequent requests.
Do you have branches in Fethiye, Marmaris or Bodrum?
No. We have a single shop, in Ortaca. Customers from other districts travel to us; we do not claim a presence we do not have.
Is it worth driving from Fethiye or Marmaris?
Fethiye is about 50 km and takes roughly 50 minutes via the Göcek tunnel; Marmaris is about 80 km, a little over an hour. Most people from those districts combine the visit with another errand and finish everything in one trip. From Bodrum, at nearly 190 km, we would honestly not suggest the drive for glasses alone.
How are these distances calculated?
They are real road distances measured on the OpenStreetMap road network between our shop’s coordinates and each district centre. Travel times are free-flow estimates and will be longer in the summer season.
